Mine is a Savage Model 24V, 22/20 Gage o/u. If they are sitting still, the 22, if they run, the 20.

I take my 20g Berreta because it it real light, but I carry my .22 buckmark because it's alot more fun.

I really like that old style stock on the .410, Matthew_H. I have a Rossi Matched Pair Youth Model, with interchangeable .22LR or .410 shotgun barrels, which I use for squirrel hunting. I use the .22 barrel with CB Longs almost exclusively,(I hate picking shot outta my stew!) although the .410 has seen its share. You really don't need more gun than that where I hunt, it's not a long distance relationship here in the scrubs and pines.
I just wish we had a spring season here, I have to wait til November to keep it legal.

MattH,
Nice pics on the gun and long tail foxies...I miss the days in Southern ILL when I hunted them almost daily in the fall. Now in NE Wisconsin squirrels are here and scarce so I don't hunt them but go after the ducks, geese, and an occasional deer. I used to use my dad's 410 pump by winchester model 42 I believe what a great gun if you were not using a 22...

I have been hunting squirrels with my 12 gauge. I use Skeet target ammo and just aim right above the head of the squirrel. I usually get 1-3 pellets in the head-upper chest area which helps alot as far as not getting poop on your stew meat.

Most squires are illegal to shoot here. Rabbits are OK, but they are scarce were I've gone looking.
