Just what you see. I wasn't interested in the 4x POSP - I'll be getting a Kalinka BP-02 mount and find a good modern scope for it. With that mount, a scope will be centerline, not off to the side. Also, J&G has the mags on sale again, so I'll probably get 4 of them there.
Some other folks are saying to cut the barrel back to around 19", but I doubt I'll do that.

Re: New to me PSL
I wouldn't cut the barrel personally. I too am kicking myself that I didn't purchase one for $450 when I had the chance. Just remember it won't beat a bolt action .308. But it will more then hold it's own as a long range marksmen rifle. I would suggest that you keep a side mounted optic (Unless you are a lefty like me.) because the sights should be good out to 200m and the scope was intended for anything beyond that.
Edit: Might I also add. Good buy.

Re: New to me PSL
Very nice. I would personally stain or paint the wood darker, but a very nice find.

The 7.62x54R is a great caliber. Push in on the rifle's buttplate and you
will find that it has a recoil spring attached to it, inside the buttstock. I found that this feature really dampened recoil.

Re: New to me PSL
I noticed that about the buttplate, but didn't realize that it was a designed feature. I'll be shooting it next week sometime, so I'll see how well it really works.
Well, I managed to get the brake off with only a little cussing - the barrel is threaded, so it was just a matter of cutting the weld. I have to admit that it took some courage to "go just a little farther" when I couldn't tell if I was cutting barrel, sight, weld, or brake... As it turns out, the brake is pretty well destroyed, but the threads and barrel were untouched!
Sigh of relief! Now I need to figure which new brake to buy. Right now, all I've got is an AMD-65 brake, so it's on there to protect the threads.
