Default Lyman 310 tool vs Lee hand press

Anyone have any experience with the Lyman 310 tool or the Lee hand press? I'm looking to start reloading 44-40 and possibly 45lc. Any advantage of one over the other?

I don't personally, but have watched youtube videos about the lee hand press.. You didn't really give a reason for your choice of a hand press. Is it to take it to that range? Is it for portability? Price?? My gf bought me the lee anniversary kit. It is by far the best bang for your buck at $89 for an entire reloading kit. (Minus the dies which will be 30-40 bucks) I got an old desk from the garage, put a couple holes in it, and mounted everything up. VERY convenient. Watching those hand press videos online, yes they do the job, but they do not seem very convenient unless the goal is portability or a good arm workout..

But i don't want to be one of those guys that gives you an answer that wasn't an option. So if you are set on one of those two options you gave, then ignore all of what I have said. ha ha

The advantage that the Lee has over the Lyman 310 is in the area of the die & the price. The Lee uses standard 7/8 in dies while the Lyman uses special dies that cost 3 times the cost of standard dies.

Of course the Lyman has been around for years & one can find used/NOS dies @ many dealers & gun shows.

Also, Lyman did/does make the AccuLine press. That used standard dies & can be used as a hand press or can be mounted to table. The only reason I have a Lee hand press instead of an AccuLine is because someone gave me the Lee.

There are a couple of Acculine's on Ebay right now. One is the complete startup kit & the other is a use one. The used one on usually sell for less than $20 from what I've seen.
