Default New to reloading.

I'm wanting to start reloading but i don't know the first place to start. I'm thinking i need to get a manual of some sort to start with first. Any ideas on good manuals for beginners. As usual any help what so ever is greatly appreciated.

I have the Lee and Lyman manuals, excellent resources for learning and also a great source for load tables.

Just how I viewed it as someone for whom guns have been a hobby for 4 decades, but the ABC book was only worthy of a skim thru for free from the library. I'm not sorry I didn't buy one. It is a VERY basic primer on firearms, firearm history, reloading etc. If you are already above the level of gun novice you may have learned much of what the ABCs contains from gun magazines and gun forums. If you are truly a total newcomer to firearms? I agree you should start there.

Sorry i cant help much on the book as i have to wait till tax time to get em. Next question which press should i start with I'm looking at going with lee i have read some reviews on cheaper than dirt about the turret presset that were not so good. So I guess i need to know should i go with the lee deluxe turret press or the breech lock challenger press all the comments on there i found about the challenger was good. So any ideas.

I have the turret press and love it. Several thousand rounds of 45ACP and 9mm with no complaints. I went with the turret so I can use it either as a single stage or a semi-progressive. With the breech lock challenger press it can only be used single stage. With the volume I reload I wanted the speed increase of the turret press. All things considered you can't go wrong with either choice.
