Default SoCal Newbie

Hi All. I have been lurking for a while and finally registered. This is a great forum with a ton of info. Thank you!

I picked up my C9 Sunday and will hopefully get to the range with it in the next few days. I also purchased a 995TS that I am waiting for the dealer to get in from the warehouse (then I get to wait 10 more days).

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I put 250 rounds of Federal through my C9 today. Like it is often repeated on here, this is a fun gun to shoot and if I had more ammo with me I would have kept on going.

I had one FTE and two FTF in the first 150 rounds. The FTE was in the first 50 and was definitely my fault. No issues with the last 100 rounds.

I also shot 35 rounds through my 12 gauge which is always a good time, but it kicks like a mule.

Looking forward to going to the range with my wife next week.

Went to the range today with my wife and another couple. Put another 100 rounds through my C9 with zero issues. This was my wife's first time shooting and she did great and had a blast.

Also put 150 rounds through my new 995. Fun gun, no issues and it actually got a lot of attention among all the ARs. I had four different people come up and ask me about it. After firing it they were all impressed and I am pretty sure two of them are gonna be future HP owners.

Only downside of the day was that my wife liked firing and was more comfortable with the weight of my friend's M&P 9mm more than the C9. Gonna get expensive...haha.

Thats why I started reloading my own ammo lol Its definitely addictive as well as expensive ! I have a C-9 , 4595 and just got the 995 in the old Ape style !

Welcome aboard!

It really is interesting when you get to watch one of those shows on History Channel. For one, there is topshot that just gets to you considering how great and mastered they are with their craft and they never seem to fail and twitch a muscle when shooting on the deeper trenches of the competition.

Truly something most of us here are actually gunning for, safe to assume right?
