Congratulations! Now... do NOT sign the original. Make copies, put the original in your safe, carry at least 2 copies in your wallet and sign them as needed. Some dealers will take an emailed or faxed copy. What I have done for these is to sign a copy of my FFL in blue ink and scan it into my computer. Then, as I need it, I edit the date it was signed and send it to them in email. Some sellers ( J&G ) will only take your C&R via snail mail.

Thanks! Yes, I've got the original copied and scanned, and put away safely. Bound book is made, copies sent to Brownells, Midway, and AIM Surplus so far. I'm kind of impressed with the discounts from Brownells.

I haven't gotten around to the places that still require snail mail copies yet. Seems kind of silly in this day and age.

Welcome to the wonderful world of C&R collecting. Take some time to think about the type of collection you would like to build before you start buying. Some people specialize on military, some on commercial firearms and some on specific manufacturers. I have geared mine to those historic military and police weapons. Some things that every collection should have:

M1 Garand
M1 Carbine
Mosin Nagant 91/30
