Default Squirrel Cook-out

Squirrels and transformers clash once or twice a yr around here. our newspaper just put a little creativity in the report this time. Transformer fire.....a witness reported hearing a bang and looked outside to see a transformer on fire. Firefighters responded. Power was out and Ohio Edison was advised. It was caused by a squirrel that remained at the scene. :cantlook:

I read the first line of your post and thought to myself, "where the hell would someone live that they would have battles with robots and squirrels."

One place my wife and I lived there was a sub-station about 350 feet behind us. We used to hear the "BANG" of northern fried squirrel regularly. The only evidence left at the scene (and that only temporarily) was a bit of greasy smoke.
