While We Argue Gun Statistics, OFA Is Tugging Heartstrings With A Video

This is the thing that our side still doesn’t get. Pictures and video tell a more compelling story than just text and math. The other thing many don’t understand is that Democrats are working this stuff 24/7. OFA sent this video out today. It’s a sad story about about a boy losing his father in a mass shooting. It’s also being used to bolster support for an abrogation of the Constitutional rights of legal, sane gun owners who would never commit such a heinous crime.

I’ve read numerous stories in the past several months about people who have protected themselves and saved lives because they were armed. Read. Gun rights advocates should be making videos using the people telling those stories. The money is there (NRA, Gun Owners of America, etc) and so is the distribution (conservative new media, politicians’ email lists, etc). It’s time to take advantage of that.

And that is why the founding fathers didn't really WANT the masses voting, too much emotion and hysteria. They wanted clear headed individuals with a horse in the race, land owners and business men, who were able to think clearly beyond the tip of their nose.

Unfortunately, that isn't what we have anymore; so yep, stupid people who can't run their own mouth right get to vote on running the country, and people that can't balance a checkbook get to vote on people to run the budget, while people who can't hold a job get to vote on extending welfare and unemployment benefits.

Can you imagine how changing the requirement (back) to Land Ownership for voting requisites would change the landscape? Suddenly the "Big Cities" would be voter wastelands. Suburbia would be the gold-mines. What is the demographics for suburbia? Yup.

Until some judge said that those that had a mortgage didn't own their property.

That would be an interesting court battle. Maybe we could repeal property tax, or at least make it illegal to take the property in lieu of taxes?
