You coudn't in the first place.
One good thing to come out of this, though: it will force CA to reexamine their CC laws. A judge recently (last few months) shot down a loosening of CC restrictions because CA had unloaded OC. Apparently, legislators in CA haven't gotten the memo about the Heller and Macdonald decisions, since they keep chipping away at CA residents' 2nd Amendment rights.
Thank god I live in KY. Here, the right to keep and bear arms is a respected part of the culture.

I grew up in The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia... left about 13 years ago before things starting getting REAL bad for law abiding gun owners. Now in Alabama.. If its legal and you want it you can pretty much get it if you have the money.. I am a month into my wait for a suppressor stamp. Soon as I get that, I will be applying for a SBR license. Suppressed 9mm or 45acp carbine with a 12 or 13 inch barrel is going to be SWEET...

I'm proud to be from and live in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We're far from perfect, but we do respect the necessity of firearms.

Love the state, Jerry brown and the rest of the bay area loonies are a never ending source of annoyance, a pity that SF and LA have so much control over the majority of california

Law takes effect on 1 Jan 2012. You can still open carry loaded outside of city limits if disharge of a firearm isn't prohibited by local ordinances. Still have to avoid the 1,000 foot gun free school zones.

I truly hate my state. I cannot get anything here and they treat us law abiding citizens like criminals.
