Default Say hello to my little friend...first time poster, long time listener...LOL

Went by a local shop today and found this...in pretty good shape. Although I might send it in to be looked over. It is an "A" series 995, my first I have ever owned. Got it for just over a hundred out the door....I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Tell me what you think!

If you could, tell me what I would need to remove prior to sending it in....I don't know exactly what is stock on this. It has a scope and a muzzle break that I am not sure are stock. I have read several post where it says to send it in as it came stock or they will send it back that way....don't want to lose anything I have.

Oh...and if someone could tell me the best way to clean this thing...how far about do I have to take it. Being used and obviously sitting for quite sometime, I want to go through it before it goes bang...literally...LOL

The scope and compensator don't come stock, or at least I've never seen one that did. If you send it in Beemiller will gladly check it over and make sure it's safe to fire.

As far as cleaning, the general consensus seems to be that cleaning the barrel and maybe running a lint-free cloth around in the action to remove clumps of crap is about all that needs to be done. These things aren't ARs and they'll shoot even when amazingly dirty.

Thats quite a deal! I have picked up 2 of these in a local pawn and paid lots less then retail! I love them! Just get rid of the compensator and scope...although i did see one in a Cal Ranch here that came stock with laser and compensator...just call Hi Point first and they can let you know if you need to take the compensator off.

That looks very nice with that compensator on it. I think I'm going to have to get a compensator for my AK when it gets it's new stock next month.
