Will obama take away handgun rights?
I have heard so many different opinions on this that i have no idea what to think. It especially matters to be because I do not turn 21 until months after he would be elected.

I believe if Obama is elected with a potential fillibuster proof congress and senate they will pass as many "common sense" gun laws that they can. "Common sense" gun laws translates to bans and restrictions on magazine capacity, restrictions and limitations on ammunition types and quantities that can be bought or stored, bans on "armor piercing rounds" which would include 308, 30-06, 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag and a whole host of other rounds, they will also reinstate mandatory "cool off" or waiting periods on gun purchases, evil black guns will be back on the list to be banned from manufacture, imports on dangerous C&R military rifles will be a no-no, handgun bans similar to DC, NY and Chicago will be reinstated with the eventual replacement of 1-2 supreme court justices, I know I have probably left a few other "common sense" laws out. This country better wake up, this is no doubt what we have to look forward to if Obama is elected.

While I agree that Obama is a serious threat to America and Panoz77 is dead on in his post,
I'm going to save you a lot of heartache and tell you that they don't want any political discussion here.
That is a good way to get yourself banned.
You're new here,Eskimo, so I'm sure you didn't know.

Just remember this.
We only have our 2nd Amendment rights STILL because of 1 thats ONE vote in the Supreme Court.
Had ONE vote gone the other way, the 2nd Amendment would be gone.
If Obama is president and we lose a Supreme Court Justice for any reason, Obama will be the one to appoint the new one and with that one appointment we WILL lose our 2nd Amendment Rights. Along with our First Amendment Rights.
