dont no bout Texas, but i shoot whats cheep for target fun. usually winchester white box 45 from wall-mart. Pow r ball for defense.

I shoot the Remington CoreLoks out of my .30-30 Marlin. Reasonably price IMO and shoots the best out of my gun.

My 30-3o loves the Federal 170gr Powershocks here in KC they are $12 per box at Wally World.

Federal 170 at WW in lower AL cost 11.30. so it is what my Winchester 94 eats.

Here in Texas, Monarch 9mm fmj (made in Serbia) is plentiful at Academy Sports and Outdoors and getting easier to find. About $11.00 per box right now. Clean enough, but in my Glocks...they obviously eat anything!
