Billings Montana, specifically Shiptons Big R. I've bought a couple grand worth of FA's from them over the years. They were running a coupon special. Not trying to bragg, just letting folks know what the 'real street price' is - at least here in 'gun friendly - low cost' Montana.

A Buck Five? Stopped by my LGS on the way home the other night and he wants $189 for the new ones he just got in. Can't keep C9s in stock even at that price. I like the guy, have known him for 20 years, but I'm not paying $50 over list. I guess the combat pay the guys at the Fort have is burning holes in their pockets!

Guess I'll have to try to get the FFL I know who calls them "Junk" to get me one. I'll practice here at home, then go to his backyard range and show him how my junker shoots.

Yeah, it's interesting... Shipton's usually has the best prices around (even if I do have to drive 60 mi - but that's Montana & 60 is right around the corner here (so to speak) ) and I've never paid "retail" there (@ Shipton's) for a FA (or anything else I can recall). When we were in FL there was a post on here that they had six or so in stock.

When we got back to MT, I went in and they had a C9 in the display case. I fondled it talked with the young sales clerk - had never met him before - he was really positive on it, said they had about 25 in stock and then basically told me that he thought that they might be putting it on sale in the near future (it was in the case @ $129.99 - full retail). So I waited, and the sale flyer came out, and Voila!

But I am still surprised that their normal price is "Retail". I guess many retailers might feel that it's "cheep" enough that they CAN get full retail, and of course as you point out, there's always the supply and demand thing.

I live just south of you, MountainGator (Northern Wyoming). I got my C9 for just a little under $160 with a box of ammo along with it. I haven't been to Shipton's in a while. What's their gun selection look like lately?
