I was having light primer strikes so the mother ship sent me out a new pin and springs and it made all the difference in the world. I already had the new style but the newest spring was a lot longer than the spring that was originally in my C9. Your new spring is longer as well.

Is it necessary to have the new slide retainer when upgrading to new firing pin assembly?

Has the sear assembly changed?

When I ordered mine they asked about my spring setup so I am sure that they knew that I already had the newer slide retainer and didn't send me one. If they determine that you have the older setup, I bet they will send you one, but I know they will if you ask.

Look in the breakdown in your manual. You should be able to tell what pin assy it has.
