  if you taper and polish one end of the pin it goes back in a little easier.Just don't punch out
  on the tapered side or you will flatten it out again.Just my 2.

  Clean as a whistle and lubed.I stay on top of that.Mags also.My guns are cleaner than me.lol.

  I had nose dives with Tula.Now I load 5 steel first then 5 brass.Or just load 6 steel
  only.Works for me.At least I can save a little cash.See my post:Retry .40.

  Just to clarify:Are you talking about the whole length of the strip? I was just concerned with
  the top.IT was a liitle longer then the mag body.

  just trimmed mine back.I had no problems either way.On my new mag I left as is and also see no
