One of the guys at the new job I'm at works part time for a gunsmith up here in Northern Arizona. Naturally, while on break we got talking about guns. Turns out he's got access to nearly EVERY fully auto weapon his boss has in his company, AND can get me my 995 for around 140 after taxes and FFL!!

But, the exciting part is that he has TWO Thompson full autos from the 1930's along with a score of Nazi and WWII Soviet full autos that he can check out at any time, AND he said as long as I spring for the ammo, he'd love to bring them out for me to blast!

I promise to shoot as much video and still image gunporn as 4 gigs of memory cards can hold. He's also going to go over what it would take (in regards to tools and knowledge) on how to build my OWN semi-auto Thompson kit.

More info and reviews on Saturday.

They didn't charge range fee or gun rental, but you had to pay for their ammo. They charged about $20 per box of 9mm, way more for other calibers.

    I think the .223 was $30 for 50.

I had a lot of fun for about $60... or something. That AR50 didnt have a ton of recoil, but the shock-wave was enough to knock your fillings out as he said.

Update: It might have to wait till next week considering that I might not be able to afford the amount of ammo needed to get a decent round of shooting. I'm still waiting for my first check from the day job (since I've got months before my other project actually hits the press), and at $30 give or take for WWB .45 (which I'm told by the owner is the best choice for the old Tommy gun in comparison to cost vs. quality), 300 to 400 rounds will run me more than I got in the bank.

Still working on it but we'll see. I WILL shoot these things, it just might take a week more
