New to the sight and as I surf the net looking at the HP carbines figured I would post pics of some interesting mods or paint jobs I have seen or liked. Please feel free to add on to the pictures of your carbine, good groups or whatever else you wish to share. Then I don't have to spend all day on the net trying to find it. Here is some I have found that I liked. Many of you may have allready seen them or they may be your guns. I'm sure I could spend hours searching the sight for all the pics but a long thread of nothing but coool pics would be nice

Good shooting,

BT

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

Here is mine. I am still planning to add the larger charging handle, big button mag release, and barrel shroud but I had to put it aside to get my AR-15 finished.

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

I must say that I do not own a HP carbine yet. These are just some that I have found on this and various sights that I like the looks of. Would love to see some more that varry from the ordinary. I know I can just brouse the sight but if they where all in one thread of pics how much easier that would be.

Thanks

dynamic dual in action:

Ah, the Dynamic Duo! Are the front sights 'functional' with the optics now on your carbines? I replaced the front sight with a compensator, as I thought the front sight looked kinda out of place without the rear sight. Also, the front sight kinda 'got in the way' of the view thru my Red Dots. Just curious - not being critical.

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

these two are current projects. i haven't decided exactly what i want to do with them. red dot for 1, and the other one will have iron sights or scope. front sight (s) will be removed, but the barrel look naked and i can't have gun porn in my pics.. :embarrassed2:

would really like to see if i can do a cowitness w/red dot, and keep the other one with a scope.

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

thanks.

has anyone tried a folding rear site with the factory front site? i've been checking the archives, and i've seen success with both rear/front folding sites, but nothing on just a folding rear site. ????

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

I tried putting my folding rear on today, it didn't fit right so I never tried sighting it in. I don't think the folding front I've got will work with the 995TS, is off an AR. (The rear is too, but its just a rail-mounted deal)

Here is mine. I posted it a while ago, but since you want a pic thread here you go.

Dude that thing is sick....for some reason I love it
I love it too. Does the folding stock interfere with the grip/trigger when shooting it folded?

Re: Paint jobs, mods and favorite cabine pics

Hello, I am new to this site. My wife just got me the 995 for Christmas, so I haven't had time to dress it up too much yet, but I think it looks OK so far:
OK... as a FAVOR to those of us who live in states with restrictive regulations about assault weapons, PLEASE do not post pictures showing how clever and creative you are mounting a bayonet on an under slung Picatinny rail. All some of us need who live in certain states is to have someone in the anti gun lobby show these pictures to some anti gun legislator who is looking for some publicity to have under slung rails classified as bayonet lugs.... PLEASE !!!! I am also suggesting that such pictures be banned from the site.

re: "don't hate the player, hate the game."
What part of FAVOR and PLEASE did you interpret as "hate"...

re: " it's his right and mine. we live in free states"

Yes you do... You and he have the right to perform such a modification on your own weapons. I did not criticize the person who did that for doing it ( even though as an engineer, I question the functionality of such a mod... however, you and he are free to do anything you want) . In your own states you have the right to do that, however.... This website is worldwide and it reaches both what you call the "free states" and those that are not, so the issue of your freedom in your state to perform such a mod is not the issue... The issue is the posting on a world wide viewable web site. To that end, I politely asked, as a favor, to not post such pictures, lest some legislator decide that my 995TS is an assault weapon... of course, if that happens in enough states, then HiPoint's sales may be negatively impacted and they may decide to remove the front under slung rail from ALL carbines.
