Power went out for about 5 hours today (Texas Solidarity?). Since I don't need power to play with the press I figured it was a good time to prep all my once fired factory 45acp brass. While cleaning primer pockets I found I have 32 rounds marked "Federal 45 auto" that are small pistol primered. How normal is that and can I use them in the same recipes as the large pistol primer ones? And yes, I'll be keeping them separate.
Being the son of a third generation firearms/sporting goods dealer definitely has some perks, I have came across some really great deals on some really nice guns over the years and have build a pretty impressive collection in my opinion. Every once in a while someone will bring something in to sell or trade that has me drooling...lol. Some of my favorites that come to mind that have gone to my personal collection include a beautiful custom engraved Ruger No.1 in 375 H&H mag, a Winchester model 12 serial number 2212 , first year of production-1912, a Belgium Browning Hi Power Centennial 1978 chrome plated Pistol w/display Case in like new condition to name a few. Today was one of those days, while not as valuable as the before mentioned guns it is definitely one of my favorites and becoming very difficult to come by
