Are the Bryco M 38 magazines like the Davis magazines where they work for both the 32 and 380? Trying to find some and not many are listed for 32s.

At this point, I prefer the Bryco to the Davis P32. I have not had any issues with the Bryco, the Davis on the other hand has not been reliable yet. And the Bryco does feel really good in the and whereas the Davis is a bit chunky. LOL!

But Davis magazines have been cheaper and easier to come by.

Not a clone, just a different name on the same gun; the J.A. 32 is the same as the Bryco/Jennings in .32 and parts interchange between Jimenez and Bryco/Jennings models. I say "Bryco/Jennings" because of the corporate name changes that were made to circumnavigate lawsuits. The pistol has been called the Jennings J-32, the Bryco M-32... all same gun.

The 32 is based on the 380 pistol, called the M38 or Model 38. The only difference is the 380 pistol employed a buffer to absorb recoil.

IDC (International Die Casting) was a major supplier to SNS pistol manufacturers. Despite the stamping on the frame shown below, there never was an M38 chambered in .22LR.

Prior to IDC, earlier M38 frames were cast by Lansco. Here's a pic showing the two different frames, Lansco is on the top left and right; IDC is bottom left and right. The Lansco frame had openings on both sides of the strap exposing the magwell. Lansco frames only used one pin to secure the barrel to the frame; IDC used two.

Awesome! Thanks for the information. I will have to check to see who made the frame.

I really like the 32, shoots better than the Kel Tec P32 that I had (always shot low--although I have read that is a recurring issue for people).

I have not tried a 380, I have been tempted, if I can find one for a reasonable price. At this time though, I am not sure I would want to shoot any 380, with 380 ammo being so high.

I have been trying to find some back up parts, just in case. I have seen a few JA 32 part kits on GB, was hoping they would work. I don't see many 25s or 32s from the Jennings/Bryco/JA family on GB. Would really like a 25 :)

@adam01364 - WARNING: THREAD DRIFT - What's with all the SNS/HP pistols and the fixed barrels? I know some of the SNS were real crap, but the fixed barrel is supposed to be more accurate, right? Is it just cheaper to make? And I want a .32!!!

@histed the Ring of Fire SNS fixed barrels are simple and inexpensive to make, no fancy machining involved. It's all about keeping costs to an absolute minimum. And yeah, fixed barrels are supposed to be more accurate, but at the expense of more felt recoil. You'll find a .32, they're out there!
