Federal appeals court has overturned California's high capacity magazine ban as unconstitutional and found it to be too burdensome since it would outlaw 1/2 the country's magazines. It would be nice if this stands but I'm sure this isn't the end of it!

They do, and they will.

Yep, Brownell's is. PSA is taking orders.

Well, the mag shortage just hit, and the prices are going to take a big jump. CA people will be buying everything up tonight.

Don't forget your handgun mags too!!!

Standard thirty-two round capacity magazines now legal in California again. Hades has frozen over! This is great news. Buy them up while you can California citizens.

The the 34rd Amend2's. Work great much cheaper!

CA has a difficult choice to make. If they take it to the Supreme Court and lose, all states that have mag bans will lose theirs as well. Right now, only CA is affected. This is a strategic decision for the gun grabbers. They may very-well decide not go push it. Either way, a huge win for CA Americans.

Of course, now we're going to see mags catch up with the huge shortages and high prices we are seeing for guns and ammo.

If they do try to take it to the Supreme Court my opinion on the future turn of events is the Supreme Court will refuse to hear the case.

Mags were one of the last major gun parts that had not yet been completely affected by the panic. That just changed. I've done a few mag orders in the last couple of weeks in anticipation of mags going super expensive and scarce. Now it's time to ride out what will probably be a long period of massive shortages.

Maybe an eternal shortage. I was thinking mag parts like springs. I doubt I will ever need AR15 mag springs.

Red dots are high due to importation, and demand.

Rural King had a, literal, 5 gal bucket of Pmags and full pegs this morning.

By the way, am I the only one that noticed this was a three-judge panel in the 9th circuit Court? What happened every other time a three-judge panel rules in favor of freedom there? They request en banc and it gets overturned. That's what.

As it stands, I can't remember a time when the 9th ever ruled on a 2A case as it has here--three-judge panel or otherwise.
Young vs Hawaii in 2019. It got overturned en banc.

In 2014, a three-judge panel on the 9th ruled in favor of Kerry versus a California case. It was overturned en banc in 2016.

It happens with a fair regularity.

Interesting. The en banc rehearing of Young V. Hawaii is scheduled for the week of 21 September. It would be cool if it were affirmed.

Just the fact that the 9th actually holds in favor of the 2A, at all, is pretty amazing. Maybe there's some hope for the cause?

Here's a link to the en banc report if you want to check it out: https://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/enbanc/

There seems to be some questions as to whether or not CA residents can actually purchase regular capacity mags right now. It's a bad time for a mag rush, though. Inventory for everyone is low. Prices still seem okay for the time being. That may change, though, since demand will be high and availability will be low.

If anything it will play out like the last suspension. Ordered by a certain time and date they will be okay. Pandora's box was opened the last time. It has happened again. Will it stay in place? Maybe. Tripping around Illinois mag capacity limits are all over the place. One city has all semi-autos as illegal.

CA may decide to let it go given there are other states who will lose their mag capacity limits if the Supreme Court gets involved. I suspect CA officials will get heat from places like CO and NY who don't want to lose their illegal bans as well. But, being the authoritarian dictatorship that it is, CA will be loathe to give up the control. The Constitution drives them up the wall with frustration.

Anybody that lives in California is in jeopardy....until they get their UHaul loaded up and leave along with the Oregonians and Seattle-ites. UHaul rates are factored up X8 for those still left in Seattle I read. "We gotta get outta this place.....".

Decades ago Californians ruined Oregon. Now they have their sights on Texas. Walls do work. They voted the bastards in now don't want to vote them out. They just leave and take their ways elsewhere to ruin. It is a shame. Going to go buy another high capacity magazine down the street this week.

Half of Oregon's population lives outside Portland Metro area. Outside the 3 main Cities, Oregon is quite liberty leaning. Unfortunately, because of the districting being proportional to population, the Portland Metro dominates politics  (why they can't just go to a single House instead of having two "chambers" with proportional allocation, I'll never understand). Last I read, 30% of Oregon voters are solidly in the D camp. 30% in R camp, and remainder are registered as "Independent"; meaning 3rd parties including Socialist Party, Green Party and Communist Party o_O (as well as Constitutional and Libertarian)

I know a several Californians that left the "Golden State" Silversides, but they left for liberty. I was born in California but I will very likely never live in that State again. Where I live I vote for Republicans and I have cast a vote for a Libertarian once. I vote for candidates that will more likely support the Constitution and liberty.

Not all people who leave California go to another State to vote for Democrats or socialism.

Stunning surprise, $9.99 D&H mags at PSA are now $10.99. Bet the price goes up again before the weekend.

I love how the Judge over turned the full capacity magazine ban on California citizens but they still cannot legally buy these magazines or have them shipped into the State. It has almost been two months since the ruling. Typical California making everything illegal that takes power away from the politicians and unions there.
