Hot damn! Great weather forecast today, and it's time to clean out the garden(s) and assess whether winter damaged the house. Yesterday I poured two 4' footings for one of the porches, and I'll be replacing a rotted wood column with one of those new-fangled composite jobbies - those things are amazing! Happy Saturday everyone!

Twisting Moonzie's arm a bit hard, was ya?
Or were you throwing stuff for the new pup to chase?
Hope its good news...even though sometimes the "It's F'd up, but that means we can fix it for real" is the good news.

On my way to the store, some poor lady was broken down in the middle of the intersection with her boyfriend. Stopped and helped push her out. She was too weak to turn the steering wheel and the automatic steering was obviously out. By the time we got it started at least three other people had stopped to help push. Nice to see.

Nice work Rach and that made my back hurt worse than it already does... one of those "I don't have a clue WTF I did" back spasms that creeps up now and then and puts me in a chair/bed for 3-4 days. Had to get the cane out for this one it is so bad.

If you are young take are of your spine! I didn't. Despite back problems from high school on I abused my back way to often!

I still have to do shoe molding and touch up the baseboards. It's so much easier sliding around on a finished floor...

Interesting matchups next weekend.
Or mis-matchups, depending on your POV.
Browns at Chiefs
Ravens at Bills
Rams at Packers
Buccaneers at Saints

Unpacking and testing my new food vacuum sealer. I have killed 4 Food Savers in the last 3 years and at $100+ each I decided it was time to upgrade to something commercial grade. Food Saver quality really has gone downhill, my first one lasted 15 years then they got bad.

Avid Armor Chamber Vacuum Sealer Model USV32 Ultra Series, with it I can vac pack soups etc and I won't have to fight with it dong more than 5 seals in a row like I did with the Food Savers.

Had PT for my shoulder...it went good. I got informed there's probably a minor tear so fingers crossed that it responds well. Then I made a sugar cookie cheesecake.

Been up since 5am. Dropped a kid off at McDonald's for his breakfast shift, drove to Pueblo and picked up some project materials, hit the grocery store up on the way home and filled the freezer, completed the storm door project on the neighbor's house, then signed for my kids new phone and took it with me while I picked up SpongeBob from McDonald's.

Now it's "screw you, activate your own damn phone" time while I sit here with a bag of queso chips and plan my schedule around pulling my transmission to replace the pump and installing a drop ceiling for the new fart fan and recessed lighting in the bathroom since I decided to get bathroom remodeling supplies along with the shoe molding for the living room.

Working hard. Okay for the last 2hrs I have had my feet up on the desk reading FB, Twitter and this place. An other hour 2 parts will complete their operations and I will flip them and run them again.

Taking Jhett to Bismarck so he can fly back to Prescott school starts the Monday. So we get the night to hang out before he leaves in the morning. Gonna miss him.

It's 43° out and raining. So much for a ND winter

Spent several hours in the bathroom cursing, yelling, and bleeding.

But at least the framing is (almost) done and the fan is mounted!

Battery died on the impact driver with one brace left to go so it got its own epithet hurled at it.
