Hi, new to Hi-Points and looking at the JXP10. I've seen the rail that they offer that replaces the rear sight and lets you mount a red dot, but ... good heavens, that's a clunky solution. Not exactly an "optics cut slide" situation, it sticks the red dot on a rail base which mounts on a rail which mounts on the gun, so the red dot is way high up above the bore.

On the other hand, if you go with the JXP10 CT HC SKU, you get a Crimson Trace red dot (probably the CTS-1550) and it's mounted flat on top of the gun, noticeably lower than the accessory rail attaches.

That tells me that somewhere in existence there's an RMSC-compatible flat plate that probably fits the rear sight dovetail, and probably has some screwholes in it to meet up with the holes in the JXP's frame.

Anybody know where to get that plate from?

Found it in, of all places, the Hi-Point store itself.

I recently bought that plate myself. I think that the one that sits really tall—in your 1st pic is a pictiny plate.

I'm having a problem with the mounting plate that you show in the later post. When I tried to install it on my JXP, I found that it doesn't fit correctly! The horizontal part that's supposed to fit into the longitudinal slot is about 1.5mm too long. Have you received the one that you ordered yet? If you have, I'm very curious to know if the one you received properly fit onto your JXP or not?

My knee jerk response was to grab my rotary tool and grind that horizontal post down so that it will fit. I didn't do that though. It occurred to me that if I did that and managed to screw it up, I would have certainly broken any warranty and there'd be no way they'd accept it as a return. So, I've decided to contact Hi-Point's customer service and ask them to replace it.
