The first question that came to mind after my initial amazement with that work was about the trigger. Would you call that a reverse-bullpup procedure?

Anyway, I like the result. A longer magazine that's loaded forward of the pistol grip is easier to manage than one sticking straight down. If Hi Point standardized such a configuration, it could open the door to even higher capacity magazines coming from Red Ball.

I like the looks of that. What stock is that? I can't get the Fakebook link to open up.

Kinda reminds me of a Rem 700 or Ruger 10/22 stock shape as they're very plentiful and can be gotten easily on the used market as a wood stock. Of course it was re-configured to let the HP carbine receiver assembly fit. I bet there was a lot of fiberglass and bondo used to fit the HP's chassis.

I like the results myself.

Edited. Sorry about that.
I did not see the unedited post. Thank you for correcting. I would recommend that you go to “Welcome Aboard” , introduce yourself and read the forum rules.

verdict is still out for me, it looks pretty nice but

Yea until I see it in action I'm inclined to agree w/you, although I wish it was real.
Check out the thread 'project trench rat'. Pretty sure it's the same guy. He posted a bunch of pics. And it's real, he says it's functional.
