the entire P series of SIG pistols is basically the same, except for physical size, caliber and some options. the operating system is the same throughout the series. my P6 made in 1974 is the same as a brand new P229 or P226 today. the only blowback SIG is the 380 P232 and teh mosquito in 22 lr. in general, the enitre lin eof SIG pistols is absolutely top of the line for quality, durability and reliability. they are worth every penny of the sometime exorbant prices they bring. A SIG is in reality a pistol you will own for the rest of your life. you will not wear it out. The navy SEALs use them in every enviroment from salt water to jungle to sand and swear by them. i am by no means a SIG fanboy. they have problems just like every other gun does. But the problem children are few and far between and SIG customer service is up there with HPs.Yeah I passed up on a Storm and regret it till this day. 399 new from a police contract that was canceled. Got my 92FS the same way. But this was just this past year. The .40S&W Glock was 3rd gen. Again not a bad gun. I would dabble in the Glock/Storm compact model pistols for conceal carry in the future.
The big question is the SIG. Are you referring to the SIG226 that the Beretta won the military contract for. Or a different model in general.
Thanks again for your reply.
