1. a local shop has a used 9mm carbine with an ati stock for $200. i'm sure i could offer a little less. is that a good price?

2. if i had to send it to hipoint for cleaning or whatever, would they take it with the ati stock?

thanks.

i got mine ( an A model) for $160 with a busted stock, but depends on your market, i would say go for it if its $200
Why not just install the old stock and send it back to HP and just keep the ATI stock? Better to be safe than sorry i would say
they will ship it back to you in a factory stock and ship the ati back. i would save the trouble and just send the weapon in without the stock on it. If you have the factory stock, I would put it back in its original furniture.

Sure will. Just call them first, and they will give you instructions for sending it in.

I just bought my used 995 w/ 3 mags for $199. I hadn't seen any new ones at the local gun shops and didnt really want to order online. With the lifetime warranty I figured there wasnt much of a difference If I bought a used one instead of new, plus I got the 2 extra mags.

Yes. I sent mine in with no stock. Just wnated to save them the hassle, as I've read HP don't take to kindly of the ATI.
$200 is definitely a good price since it has a $60 aftermarket stock. Ask the seller if they have the original stock. Otherwise, I just saw an original stock on ebay for $15.
$200. I would jump on it but the ati stock would have to go. I read of a lot of feed issues with the ati stock.
Fair price. I would ship it to HP with out the ATI stock( HP doesn't like ATI) and put a note in stating that it had a ATI stock on it and that you want their reg. stock. Who knows...you might get the NEW HP stock!!! Also, keep your mag, they will send you a new mag back with it. 8)
Honestly 200 with the ATI is fair. I couldnt find ANY 995's locally for 6 or 7 mos. Finally a local gun shop received 2 in stk and I was finally able to put it on layaway!! :D Because of the fact I did have to put it on layaway I didnt argue about price...$245.00 new with stock sleeve and 2 extra mags. However, I should be getting it out of layaway this coming thursday and then ordering the ATI stock and a compensator or barrel shroud. Not 100% sure which route to go just yet. My point is that the market being as it is right now, $200 is actually a fair price. Others have already commented on the sending it back to hi-point with the ATI stock already. Good luck!
my lgs has a 995 on the shelf, been there for a long time and only 196.00 . so i went to buy it the other day, well they had 3 ar15s. i have wanted an ar for a long time, so i had to get it. maybe the 995 will be there when i get the extra money. unless the mysterious 4595 appears by then!!!
$200 IS a fair price...I bought mine used and abused for $125, sent it back home for a checkup and it came back with everything new except the barrel and receiver cover. I then installed an ATI ($60), and the new scope rails they sent along with new mags and new sling. So two large is very fair. Best to call first and ask how they want it, with or without stock. I used FedeX home pickup and shipped from Florida to Ohio in 1-1/2 days for 8 bucks...much cheaper than USPS & without the govt hassles.
buckeye is right, call and ask. the people who have sent them in ATI stocks usually get them back in the factory stock with the ATI sent loose along with it. If you dont like the ATI stock sell it to someone on here and make back some of your purchase money.
