    Holy crap.:(

What does one do after something like that? Devastating.
  4. A very tragic but preventable incident. Yup, it wont be long before the anti's are all over this one.

I see women's purses unattended to all the time at WM and other stores. If I were a thief and not for the security cams, I could have a field day.

Not much the Antis can do with this ~ add it to the family members shooting family members list....

This is one reason why I am not a big fan of women carrying in their purses. Just read about this earlier. Terrible, but completely avoidable accident
  8. What a sad event, I can only hope that the child makes it to adulthood without the stigma from it.

Sad, sad event. Here is a argument for the glock guys who claim that a safety has no place on a handgun ever.
  10. Or why light switch type triggers can be a less desirable option. The Glock fanbois always cry about heavy triggers on other guns. There is a reason for a firm trigger.

But in general carrying in a purse loose is not a good idea. At least get a CC purse with a gun pocket.

    You know what?
Too bad so sad, apparently somebodies time to go.
Accidents don't just happen, there is always a lead up to it.
    Loaded chamber but no safety?
Being that cavalier with a loaded gun?
No holster? What if a key ring or anything else had gotten stuck?
    Zipper on your bag?
    Carry on your person?
Really about a dozen things could have made this go different.
When you carry you have a responsibility.

    Now, my human side.
Tragic event and that kid is messed up for life.
    He will eventually he told.
    Two lives gone.

I haven't read anywhere which type of gun it was.

I'm thinking revolver. No safety, loaded chamber. Of course, that means a pretty heavy trigger pull, unless the hammer was cocked. Not a very safe way to be carrying in a purse.

That said, no amount of gun registration and background checks could have prevented this, so the antis won't use this at all. Permits and licenses are not required in order to breed, either. You just can't regulate stupid.

The anti's will be all over this. This is a perfect example of a "good guy with a gun", a law abiding citizen" etc....

It's a great reason to ban guns in stores, to not allow carry in public, to not allow guns in homes with kids, etc.......

It was a horrible mistake that never should have happened, but it will be great fuel for the antis

Why would it be good for the anti's?
As far as accidents go this is just about as ignorant as getting electrocuted in the tub because your 2 year old drops the hair dryer.
