This is a shame. Found out from my boss and looked it up. He lives in the same neighborhood. Why do people insist on leaving them accessible when small children are around. http://www.delawareonline.com/story...-old-shot-in-valley-run-in-delaware/16472909/
Because they buy the stupid idea that a secured gun is useless, so they won't lock a gun up; but they also don't want to carry all the time.
How about the woman that locked her child in the trunk to avoid getting a ticket for not having a child seat?
Exactly my thoughts... my children are all older now 23, 20 and 10. I raised them not to be afraid of them but to respect them (blunting their "curiosity"). But in my opinion you can't teach children that young the difference. Either way I always had them locked up and will continue to do so even after I am kid free!
