Hello, I am new to the forum. I joined to ask if anyone here has a 3D CAD model of a C9 slide. I recently bought a CNC milling machine and I'm thinking about suppressing my C9 and maybe doing some slide milling that doesn't alter the weight/integrity too much.

Also it looks like the new model coming out may have enough meat for an optic cut, is that something that you guys would be into? I hardly ever see them but I'm not sure if it's because people are leery to mill the slide material or what.

    Thanks!

Mostly, it's that very few of us wants to spend $200 making a $150 gun with 10 rounds "better", when it already does the job just fine.:p

The new C9 doesn’t need to be milled to either suppress or install optics.

I saw the threaded barrel but not any optic cuts, did they add a rail on top?

so you don't have a 3D model of the slide then?

No but allegedly when you take the redesigned rear side off you can install an optic.
    It’s in the videos.

    Nope.

I was just replying to your comment, “I hardly ever see them but I'm not sure if it's because people are leery to mill the slide material or what.” We aren’t leery of it....we just don’t usually bother.

Some guys have milled the crap out of the slides, and some have added red dots and things. We appreciate the effort, and sometimes the results. But most of us aren’t going to bother. If you do it, and do it well, we will be duly impressed.

SWAGA got it backward, I think. The new slide has a longer cut for the rear sight but it’s not a dovetail, it’s a longitudinal slot. I have no idea if that fits some mounting system out there, or if they are going to be selling one.

Don’t they say a picatinny in the video?

    Thought so :p

Didn’t you say FRONT sight before you edited it? Yep, thought so.

Yep, they’ll have a PROPRIETARY unit that adds a pic rail ....at the REAR sight location, like I said.;)

Last time I checked you don’t put an optic on the FRONT of a slide.

Hey I’m not the only one here that doesn’t know his front from his rear.
    Why pick on me?
