Was at a gun show in Davenport IA today & got to look around. Saw a few 995's in the typical $220 range, for the old style stock... but then i stumbled onto this guy w/several carbines & he has the 995TS (that's the new stock, right?) it was marked "$425 cash" - what the...

I hope whoever buys one gets the vasoline free heh...sounds kinda steep.
Man i wouldn't know who to be pissed at,the guy that paid that much for it or the guy selling it
for that much.we have a new 995TS here with the aftermarket stock, not the ati but the one that
looks like a machine gun or something and it's $250 new.factory style 995TS and factory 4095 is
both $200.
I swear a lot of these vendors at the gun shows are just counting on catching the right unknowing eye. I hate when people try to pull the wool over other peoples eyes like that.

To the op you should have asked him what the msrp was on the 995 and see what you gave you for an answer, It would have been very interesting to see if he gave you the truth or just threw out some number off the top of his head.

Yeah, i saw some of that too, pretty sad. :cantlook:

As it turns out, today I was walking past his tables & he says to me, "Hey bud, you were right. I had the wrong tag on that 995, thanks."

We got to chat'n & it turns out he has a 4095 himself & loves it. Says it's dead-on at 100yds.

show story: I had my SKS on display w/some coyote stuff & it has 4 of my "Wolverines" (hand-loaded 7.62 rds with ballistic tips) in the sling. As I was packing to go I noticed one was gone, wasn't laying nearby, so figured it was a theft. Kinda chuckled thinking of the guy who will miss a yote by 8" high & left... anyway, was hauling my last boxes to the van & this ex-military kids stops me & aplogizes. Seems he was admiring them & accidentally stuffed it in his pocket. Gotta love the values our US Military drums into folks, he was honest even in an embarrassing situation. I was so happy to see honesty that I gave him all four.

LOL, well that was mighty kind of you Coyote, you know I told the truth today a couple times. What do I get? :D
i went to a gunshow last sunday and saw a brand new model carbine for 299, then i saw an old model with the crappy extras such as a scope and lazer for 365. does anyone use the damn lazer???? id rather pay less for a stripped down rifle, the way its sposed to be and usually ends up anyway after you buy all the BS to dress it up then realize that you dont need or use any of the stuff anyway. am i ranting? my bad. im gonna take a pic of my toes now....

those are some steep prices Gemini! I'd stare at my toes too, at least util prices look better.
Check the Cabela's in your area. Here in Hamburg PA the 995TS sold for $249.99 and $229.99 on sale. They immediately sold out and they told me they had a waiting list three times longer than allocated stock. The 995 Classic was $169.99.

I bought my 995TS for $269 + PA tax and instant check from a local gun shop. Check Hi Point;s website for a local dealer and see if you can order one. Also check gun auctions from gun shops in Ohio. They seem to get HiPoints and sell at MSRP. Remember to add FFL fees to auction prices.
The Cabela's in Dudee, MI still has a pile of the classic 995 for $169.99. Everyone wants the 995TS. Already got mine for $224.99 @ Cabela's. Wish I could have gotten more at that price.

My LGS has them at $239.00, I keep not buying it because I know I will find one cheaper as soon as I buy it.
The one major HP dealer in Tempe has them for around $280, but on average I see the "new" stock 995TS going for about $350 to $400 in the Phoenix Metro area....again.... if you can find one.
gasp, wow!
Gun show in Spfld. IL. yesterday seen three different vendors with 995st from $239 to $269 not bad! and then one guy had a classic for $229, a bit high!
That isn't too bad for gun show prices. The last one I just went to here in Columbus was a joke. I saw 3 used 995 classics and they were all over $200.
im in iowa too... i have seen them in Story City, Iowa and a little shop called Jacobsons at 189....its a great place and id recommend it to anyone
