Unfortunately, I think that the Mark series makes a terrible CC gun. Wrong shape and size. At least the SR22, despite the .22LR caliber and a safety that I hate, is the "right" shape and size; and is DA/SA as well.

    Peace favor your sword,

  2. @lklawson That's very true. Fun gun, everybody who shoots one of mine loves them, but nobody has bought one as a CC gun.

    Because....it’s a .22.

If it’s all you can handle, that’s ok. But most people can handle a bit more, so most people end up with a .380 or 9mm.

If I wanted to go all mobster I would carry a 22.

My .45 double stack plus two spare mags have my belt stretched to the max.
    I almost need suspenders.

Should be wearing suspenders anyways because belt loops can make your guns full auto !!

Four things you don’t skimp on in life are shoes, mattresses, belts, and holsters.

  15. Add two more things for the women in your life: bras and purses (i.e. leather purses, no other material will do)

  16. I carry the SA XDs in 45 ACP. Used to carry a Colt Officer's but that got a little heavy. I feel comfortable with the XDs and carry it in a Alien Gear Holster. The big secret is wearing a real gun belt designed for carrying. It makes all of the difference in the world.

I've been using a 511 reinforced belt (PN 59541) that is specifically made for carrying full sized firearms.
Other firearms (even larger ones) carry very with that belt. In my case its a crappy holster that is the problem, not the belt. My experience with the alien gear holsters is just that they are too big for my tastes.
