4595TS

I have to say, I just purchased a 4595TS, then, I purchased the cheapest 45acp, I could find, I shot maybe 2 clips thru it, and it fired flawlessly. In addition, I am a reloader, with my own cast bullets, using a dual cavity, 230 grain Lee mold. So I loaded up about 20 rounds, and they fired beautifully, and accuracy was as good as "I" am capable of. It is an absolute blast to shoot. AND as a side bar, I also have a hi point c-9, that I love. I was breaking down my C9 the other week and lost a part, I called them and they sent me 2 replacement 2 no cost, no questions ask.
Quite simply, they are in-expensive, reliable, and customer service 2nd to none. The FFL that performed transfer, is a gun snob, and he said I hope your not going to try to defend yourself or your home with this. He said they are big and bulky, and cheap. And I said you are correct, but I personally, like the looks, and I would NOT stand in front of one and see if it shoots or not, and he wouldn't either. They have loose tolerances, and are simple in design, wow, that is the same basic beauty of and AK-47. You just shoot these guns and break down and clean once in a while, run a bore brush down the barrel after every gun shooting session, and you are fine.

Have fun with that 4595.

I've run into gun snobs at some firing ranges before. I always make sure I laugh loud enough when their Glock/Kimber/1911 jams up, while I keep plinking away. They just don't get it.

Don't know if its changed, but it used to be when going for a conceal carry permit that some instructors wouldn't/won't allow a HP, Jimenez, Davis, Lorcin, Taurus, and others to be used in the shooting portion of the class, to get a conceal permit.
OP, am on my 2nd 4595, and have sold two, and given away a forth. They are ugly but have better mags out of the box than the STEN, which is their spiritual ancestor. I delight in converting mine to run 1911 mags w/ Thingmeister's mag catch conversion, gave my BIL a 40 round 1911 ProMag drum for Christmas that fits his Rock Island and his 4595.
Iam with you on the 4595s mine has worked flawless since the first round went off
People who bag on Hi Points have most likely never shot them. The triggers might be spongy and have horrible resets, but the guns work, and they work well. I got sideways looks and some comments when I picked up my JHP45 and 4595TS from the FFL, but I waved the comments away. My money, my guns and my own satisfaction with the products are all that matter.

I've haven't heard that about Taurus. But I have heard that about HP, Jennings/.Jimenez, Davis, and Lorcin to the point where up in mAssachooshitz, there were a few range officers who wouldn't allow them on the line.
I also feel that Hi-Points are gaining more acceptance, particularly due to the carbines performance, which leads to pistols being accepted.

The JXP will likely sell more 10x25mm Norma cartridge boxes than any other firearm in the history of the cartridge.

I wonder why your FFL decides to sell something that he considers "cheap"? Glad you like your rifle, and yes, I agree with you. Besides, these rifles are not pieces of junk....they have too good of a reputation.
Glad you like your 4595. I love my 4595 and could care less what the gun snobs think. It's accuarate, reliable, and easy to maintain. Not to mention it is a whole lot of fun to shoot.

By the way, I have 2 Taurus semi-auto handguns (9mm and 40S&W) and used the 40S&W for my CCW training. Instrucor was retired military weapons instructor and he had very good things to say about Taurus. Really enjoy shooting both of my Tauruses.

I agree, my C9 pistol, is wonderful. I love it.

I love these guns, the way they look, even the trigger. The biggest downside to me is magazine capacity, I have a CZ, and Glock, which have great capacity, but C9, shoots just as well as my glock, the trigger on my CZ is better, but again, my C9 will shoot just as well as any of my other guns.

I own a 4595ts that i bought ooo last fall sometime.
I bought 4 of the Redball 20 round mags for it.
All 4 fail 80% of the time.
So i say don't waiste ur $$ on them.
The 10 stock 9 round mags work fine 99% of the time.
I do find breaking this gun down for cleaning is a pain in the ass.
Ive shot a few thousand rounds now threw my gun.
Have had to have recoil springs replaced now a few times. Plastic guide rods dont cut it HP.
Myself.... Im not expecting this gun to last very long seeing how it is made.
Great warranty, but how many times do u want to call for parts, and repairs?
Ive now called them again for a new recoil spring/guide rod.
Along with the new pins with springs holding the thing together. The lock ends are getting very beat up.
Im wondering how long this thing is going to really last?
White metal parts? Come On people.
I guess i better start looking for something of quality!!!

How many rounds do you shoot? Never heard anyone bitch like this about any Hi-Point let alone carbine. Not being able to get the Redball to work? I own a couple of them. Haven't shot with them. .45 is too expensive to buy lately.

The 14rd ProMags work fine including in my JHP.

I am calling bullshit.

I am a new convert, 4595ts.
All mags, 3x factory 9 rounders, 2x promag 14 rounders, 1x Redball 20 rounder 1000 rnds, good, bad and aluminum at range.. priceless and flawless, THEN.....
I slapped the ugly off with HTA...
Entire new platform. LOVEIT!
All 6 mags had 1st rnd fail to feed.
Dab of lithium grease on followers (minute amount spread very thin) and spun springs 180°. Instantly back to flawless!!
Eats any form of 45acp, even 18yr old reloads, I threw at it.. +p too.
So, while all this is happening, my wife walks us a through vehicle purchse on carvana...
Carvana & High Point are very similar... you either really love em, or completely hate em! I like both.
They gave us a giant arcade like token to operate the car candy machine when we went to dealership... kinda cool, wife loved it!
So we took car and token to the range and shot it!
The token!! @ 150 yrds flip-up sites..

Ex-GF bought a Camaro from them. Didn't have a jack or a spare. They didn't come with one from the factory. Yes, it had new tires on it. They should have been run flat tires like the factory used. It took her for ever to get the title. They were constantly jerking her around. They are in big financial hurt right now. So is Carmax and others.

I've gone off the "popular trail".
No more high dollar name brands!!
I prefer what reliably works...
currently I have:
Ruger american compact 45acp 3 10rnd mags, CZ 612 12ga, & Hi-Point/HTA 4595ts 20rnd, 14rnd, and 3 9rnd.
Wife carries kimber micro 9mm (she hates), at next opportunity I'll sell kimber and Ruger. Introducing her to
MODEL C9 CAMO PI 9mm & myself to JHP 45acp.

I doubt a C9 will help unless she's an Olympic weight lifter.

Ruger LCP Max 10+1 and 12+1 maybe?

I like my JHP, my P90DC Ruger, and my Glock21, and my Glock30. I bought both Glocks used. The 30 was a rental with not much use.

Yeah, I'm with TNT here. The C9 is big and weighs a lot.
Why does your wife hate the Kimber? Smaller pistols tend to be snappy... for example my LCP wasn't pleasant for me to shoot at all, and I tamed it with a Hogue grip and a stiffer set of Wolff springs.
