So I've saved up all summer and was looking to blow some money on a new toy. So I was thinking about a mini-14. The guy helping me out goes to get it and he comes back saying it was a 6.8, and that they didn't have any .223's in stock. I asked him what the heck a 6.8 was and he admitted he didn't know very much about the caliber or how it worked in the mini-14.

Does anyone have any more information on 6.8mm?
