Hi All, I just purchased a C9 which is my first Hi-Point. I sold a couple of duplicate guns I had in my small collection (Lee-Enfield, Russian M44) and thought what the heck. I actually like the look of them and I will admit, it's actually the first pistol that I've held that actually feels like it was molded to my hand. Hated the M9 I carried, it just never "fit" my hand well. Plus I wanted a 9mm since I didn't have one. I'm getting ready to move so range time will have to wait for now. It's already got a new set of Olive Drab grips and I picked a couple of spare mags. Looking forward to taking it out and getting it broken in.

Welcome to the asylum. Load your mags and let them sit until you can shoot them. Any issues when you do shoot, check with us and DO NOT take the gun apart before shooting it, don’t polish the feed ramps, and don’t cycle by hand…the firing pin is the ejector, and Hi Points don’t cycle well by hand anyway.

Thanks, I've been lurking for a bit and have noted the recommendations, mags are already loaded and stashed. I collect C&R guns so I really don't make any modifications just repair or replace as necessary. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My brother bought an AR and hung about every possible accessory off of it, I just shook my head. I never had an issue shooting expert with all the issued M16 versions in my military days, but to each his own. Appreciate the welcome and advice.
