87 Cents = 50 Lbs of Food

  1. That's all I had to pay yesterday when shopping at the commissary using WIC - we went slightly over on veggies, but otherwise the rest was completely covered.
That was a pleasant surprise. :p

  2. Once that baby pops out its nothing but baby food, Formula and Milk, On WIC. At least that's all we got 5 years ago.

And you better not be eating it. Its Women Infants and Children. No men aloud, we work, hunt, and gather for our meals.

  3. We have WIC Overseas, which is basically Alaska's WIC with commissary specific adjustments, it's actually a lot more than that after the baby with ours, because it's supposed to cover both the Mom and the baby (they gave us this big ol' pamphlet that specifies what's allowed on it during pregnancy and after birth; they're almost identical, with the exception that I think they allow for an expanded allowance of types of milk and formulas).
