Here's another idea.... Use slightly bigger stock and mill the end so it will fit over and around the base of the site mounted on the barrel.

I had done something similar with the Hartman shroud that I picked up about a year ago. I had the shroud that has the cutout for the ATI laser. I turned it upside down, and ground down the bottom of the sight base, so the notch would fit around the sight. Really cleaned up the look with the sight base covered.

I like the suppressor look that Panoz suggested, although I've been thinking about a slimmer design for a longer barrel look.
I'll PM you with some designs and measurements when I get home krnel, to see if you're interested.

I recieved my barrel shroud today, and I must say that it looks great. I haven't permanently installed it yet as I have been up for 36+ hours right now and as soon as I get some dinner I am gonna crash for the next 12 hopefully. I'll post some pics as soon as I get it installed.

sorry for the lack of resposes guys. i cancled my home internet in prep for the move and i try to avoid posting from work (big brother is watching). the screws are accualy set screws #8-32x 1/4. if i left them out i can mail you a set. i forgot to check before i mailed them! just pm me your address agian.

Thats how it is in the demo pic...ATI stock and no front sight...

I installed mine and found that with my front site installed at the front of the ATI stock, the shroud is about 1 1/2 inches too long. I am going to see if I can cut it down and drill and tap for the second set screw hole as that will be cut off when I shorten it. Great shroud though, I love the way it looks on the 995!!
