995 mag in a Stallard!

Discussion in 'Hi-Point Pistols' started by adam01364, Sep 4, 2015.

  1. I was comparing the 995 mag to the Stallard mag; they are very close in height with the 995 mag being a tad bit taller. Since the Stallard mag is kept in place at the heel, it seemed to me that I could slightly modify the 995 mag by cutting a recess for the heel release to fit. After a couple of cuts with a Dremel and a bit of trimming of the 995 mag base, it fits and cycles perfectly. :D

Pics or it didn't happen so here they are:
Pic #1 shows at 995 mag alongside the Stallard mag.
Pic #2 shows the slight cut in the base of the 995 mag. (Not shown is the corresponding cut in the plastic base plate)
Pic #3 is the 995 mag in the Stallard magwell but not fully inserted
Pic #4 is the 995 mag fully seated in the Stallard
Pic #5 shows how the 995 mag looks in the Stallard.

'Bout as easy as it gets, M-M!

  6. I know Melvin was thinking (hoping??) I had found a new Stallard variation?? LOL

But in reality I have this "thing" about having mags that fit interchangeably with as many firearms as possible. :)

I know what you mean! CZ and Beretta and Hi Power are
all close if not the same, in the same calibers of course.
Then the Taurus copies have a mag catch slot moved.
That Euro-Standard double stack magazine is very common.
My Beretta stuff uses the same bottom mag extender as the
Hi-Power, exact match. Even said so on the package ;)

I saw this and wondered ....Do any hi-point .45 mags fit a Haskell?

    Great Question!
I am much more interested in the old Alloy Frame HP's than the poly,
(although I own poly) and backward-compatible mags would be "Da Bomb!"

The "JH". Possibly the "JC". Not the "JHP" or "JCP". Although I've never actually tested it.
