On my 995 TS, is there any reason I can't just stick a lock washer on the charging handle instead of using Loctite to keep the handle from coming loose?

Could always try it and see what happens.

If I told you it was a silly idea and to just buy some locktite, would you believe me?

Probably not. They do the same thing, but if anyone's tried my idea, it didn't come up in the search.

What exactly are you trying to prevent from coming loose with the washer and where do you plan in putting it?

Also, consider thread tape as an option if you're entire handle is unscrewing from the action.

    Socratic method...

Lock washers work by compressing between the nut and the surface being tightened against, correct?

Is there a nut on the bolt handle?

If not, where would you place the washer?

Now, go get some blue LocTite.:)

    thread tape

Would mil spec thread ptfe tape work?? Lmao. My 995ts charging handle comes loose after a few magazines. Im sure it will be quicker after these new 20 round magazines come out, so i need to keep the charging handle in until i want it out.

And people wonder why I'm getting tired of giving good advice here. Why not just pull out the Dremel like every other idiot who's given the accurate 30 second fix?

  10. Blue Loctite is my friend and will be yours too. I've never used Teflon tape for securing threads, only for preventing them from seizing up. Will have to give it a try.

Clean the charging handle and the hole thoroughly with a solvent that will remove all oil and grease and then apply Locktite blue, it should revolve your issue...teflon tape will only make it worse!!

Hasn't made mine or the other half dozen I've made that fix to any worse. I use the yellow gas fitting tape, BTW.

Sorry guys, I misread a question early on and came off as a smart aleck.
I installed the washer but tried that out yet. If it doesn't work, I think I have some blue loctite on hand.

Purchased a new hi point 9mm carbine. Enjoyed shooting it once. Why did my handle fall off ? Who is the idiot who ships and makes things that fall apart that easily ?
Going to make a review on my YouTube channel :)

They don't ship with the handle installed. Blame the dumbasses where you bought it. Grab some blue loctite, re-install it and shut up.

I'm sure nobody will give a fuck.

    No shit.

Well I only have 400 subs as of now. I am
