Once YOU resurrected it by replying to it, it showed up in the "New" feed, as having been active recently. Right to the top of the line, specifically so that people could see it and respond to it. See...that's how these social media platforms generate money, by getting people to click on threads. SO....it was all you, congrats!

Showed up on the front page, when I logged in and I found the original thread, with a simple search...What am I missing or are you just being pedantic?

You are missing the fact that YOU searched for it, and YOU didn't bother checking the date, nor following recommendations even AFTER the system told you the facts, and suggested a better option.
