995TS Thanksgiving Range Report.

  1. I got some range time at the in-law's before dinner.
I was anxious to make sure I got everything back together properly after last week's thorough cleaning. I also took the red dot off and installed the irons.
I had it dialed in after about 5 or so rounds. I now prefer the iron sights.

I shot all factory rounds today...the most since I've had it.
They came out just as sooty as my reloads.
There were no malfunctions or issues.

I like this gun more each time I shoot it.

I love the Carbines. I put the irons back on my 995ts as well. I haven't had an opportunity to try it out since then. It seemed like the stock pic rail is a little flimsy for maintaining zero on a scope.
I might have to buy one of the low pro aluminum rails from Long Shot mfg. For now, I think the irons are plenty accurate at the 0 - 50 yd range.

I was messing with my 4595 today, trying that counterfeit PTS/AFG2 on it (Rich is right, needs trimming) and I noticed the peep sights are a wee bit small. Might need the drill bit trick ;)
