I like it & if it's made of aluminum it should dissipate the heat well. Those barrels get hot after a hundred or so rounds & that would keep me from burning my hand...again!

Did you remove the rail under the barrel with some tools or did you have to cut it off?
Remove the front sight which helps hold the rail on. Then flip the lever up that helps hold the top rail base mount on. Then push the top section of the forend towards the muzzle and it comes off. The barrel rail snaps into the lower section of the forend. Lift the barrel up a little and work the barrel rail out of it's slot.
