The lefties are fuming and sputtering... Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Declares February 2nd “Chris Kyle Day” In Texas
It was at a press conference. Voice from the back of the room: "Hey you fat weasel, using signs only, how do you think most Americans would describe you?" MM: (response above) Voice: "Damn, you may be marginally smarter than I thought, LOL." Wild applause from around the room. MM leaves with head down, snot running down his chin(s), and lower lip quivering.
This is awesome. I don't care what anyone says. Reading the book he truly put the men and women in the military far beyond himself and even his family. That decision is between him and her only. The rest of us should recognize his sacrifice and efforts to save his brothers in arms
I saw it today. A very good, powerful movie. Somewhat depressing. Theater was about half full at a 12:30 pm showing and nobody left or spoke until the credits had rolled and the house lights came on. Some people are possibly best advised to wait for home viewing, as there were a lot of grown men in tears at different times, not bawling or anything, but powerfully moved. I suppose someone with combat experience may be better off watching alone. The combat scenes were not overdone, spectacular scenes, but I can see where someone with PTSD could be affected. I suffer with PTSD, not combat related, and they did a very good job showing some of the symptoms and effects of PTSD. The actors did a very good job illustrating it. The effects the war had on Chris Kyle, both in combat and his personal life are powerful. Sent from my iPhone using Hi-Point Forum
Well, surprise... Clint Eastwood -- 'American Sniper' Bashers Have a Point (VIDEO) http://www.tmz.com/2015/02/10/clint...-michael-moore-bill-maher-critics-chris-kyle/
I don't think it means much, CE like most people just wanted to get from point A to point B. I don't think he even paid attention, and he gave no explanation of his remark. If I may translate for him~~"You retards please go F--- yourselves". ETA I will see it when it becomes available on Netflix DVD. But to be honest I am not a fan of war movies, I just don't like the killing even though it is a movie. I avoid most movies with script based on killing, even justified. I want to feel good after watching a movie, not depressed.
I just came back from the movie theater.... Impressive movie indeed, great job by Clint Eastwood in not going overboard. Quote by Kyle's wife: "you can only circle the flames so many times" Very true, psychologically also. Instantly hated the psychologist till he started about "having a hospital full of men that need saving". Well done to Bradley Cooper....
