my son has a r/c toyota pickup truck that i built and painted for him, that he calls ''warbird'', he asked if i could paint his Mossberg 715t to match it.....base coat of moss green, teeth painted on, then ''weathered'' with various shades of tan, rust, and black misted on to look like dirt and dust. what do you think?

here's a pic of his truck too.

Pretty cool! For some reason your truck reminded me of "Big Daddy" Ed Roth's Rat Fink style. All it needs is the addition of flames.

Looks great to me. I'm not usually one for custom paint jobs but this one isn't half bad.

I've been wanting to do a weathered custom. But an over the top one. Something that looks like it's been buried in the dirt for several years and would blow up in your face, yet works perfectly. Thinking a lever gun would be a perfect candidate. Just need to find one cheap enough ($150 or less would be nice) so I don't cry if I screw it up. If not that, a cheap Chinese T-53 Mosin might do.

Oh yea. Just so I'm not threadjacking, nice work Talon.

ty. my next AK build will actually feature a full on, ''battlefield pick up'' look, complete with a nasty dinged and weathered *but perfectly safe and functional stock set i have, complete with some arabic carvings in it, and a complete scratched, rusted look metal work. (all in hi-temperature paints and properly clearcoated), to include dusty, dirty, fresh off the battlezone look on the outside, but, all new under the skin.
