This one is the French Trade Satchel. Just a touch smaller than his standard haversack and much larger than the his M44 haversack. Bought mine in earth brown to match my HW Forrest Ruck. It’s going to carry my cook kit. Excited!!

Attention to detail is key, grasshopper. Use your favorite search engine to locate an online retailer created by the gentleman named in the title of this very thread... Then look for the appropriately named man purse with numbers next to a dollar sign....😆 🤣

Did not know that Woodsman was a dealer. Thought it was a type of bag. My undying gratitude to you, Sensi Robert, for guiding this unworthy one in such a humble manner. I shall endevor to be wiser and more observant in the future.

As much as Greg fawns over these bags, I assumed everyone picked up on it. Although technically HW is the manufacturer, and the French Trader Snatchel is the make of bag?

It showed up today. It’s a home run. Compliments my Forrest Ruck perfectly.

Speaking of Hidden Woodsmen. They had the Tropical Lightweight Rucksack in woodland camo for $95. Wife vetoed the idea unless I sell a few of mine. Now they only have the Earth Brown with M-Coyote Brown trim like @greg_r 's bag for $150. Oh well. I have been looking at the Spec Ops Brand Recon ruck; it is basically a Medium ALICE, modernized with MOLLE instead of ALICE webbing, in Coyote Brown, Multicam, or basic bitch black ( @undeRGRound 's favorite?) And with the 3 pockets being much bigger than original. But its $210 on its own. I'd prefer a Woodland camo or any shade of green really... however it is basically either the Spec Ops, the Hidden Woodsmen tropical rucksack, or the Helikon Matilda (which doesn't use ALICE frame); or I make my own.. and I'm looking at making my own  I do have other priority projects though.

i have the Helikon Tex Matilda. Don’t tell anybody, but I like it better than my Hidden Woodsmen Deep Woods Ruck. It’s one of those "it’s definitely not the quality of the Hidden Woodsmen, but it does feel better on the back" things.

As far as Helikon Tex, I have the Matilda, EDC backpack with 2 pouches, the Bushcraft Satchel, the Essential Kit Bag and the Sling Bag. All in coyote brown. they have become my substitute standard, I am fond of Helikon Tex, but doubt I will use them ever again.
