Another NooB from Georgia

Hello All, I am Jim, I think I may have been infected by the Hi-Point virus.

It all happened innocently enough when I was browsing various forums and I came across a post about why no one likes the Beretta CX4 Storm, I looked at a pic of one before I read the 4 page topic and I thought to myself "this thing is HOT"!!! I decided I had to have one in my meager arsenal. Well reading on, there was a few posts about the Kel Tec and the 995 so my investigating begun.

I really don't care for the looks of the Kel Tec and I had handled one in .223 and was not impressed so Kel-Tec was out. It came down to the CX4 at $700.00 and the 995 at $200.00 plus $50 for the ATI stock. To me it was a no brainer, from what I read they are almost or just as good as the CX4 and are just as cool looking. Plus with the savings of $450.00, that will go towards ammo and another gun purchase (My M1 Garand).

I placed my order at Buds Gun Shop for the 995 today and I am going to begin hunting for accessories. I found the ATI stock on ebay so now I just need to find a good carry bag, mags, and compensator.

Unfortunately I will be in California for another 8 weeks on a travel assignement but when I get home to Georgia the 995 and a few other toys will be waiting for me as my late Christmas presents.

Well that's the story of how I became infected and thanks for listening.

Hello Broomhead.
Welcome to our support group.
There are five steps in our program.
Step 1: Buy ammo and send it down range.
Step 2: Buy more Hi-Points.
Step 3: Laugh at all the Gun Snobs for paying way too much, then out shoot them at the range.
Step 4: Happily spread your addiction to others whenever possible.
Step 5:Repeat steps 1 through 4 endlessly.
Unfortunately, these are not steps to recovery.
There is no recovery.
