I wouldn't buy a promag for their actual worth of .01. Sorry, promags are worth the cost of shipping!

Interesting... the only ones I ever had an issue with are the ones they made for the Hi-Points. I have 10 / 20 / 30 round ProMags that work fine. I consider them, especially the 20 round magazines, "firefight" mags..... you drop them out during a magazine switch and don't worry about ever picking them back up, just keep shooting and moving.

I have bought promags for a Taurus & a Kahr, neither worked. So after spending several hundred dollars on JUNK mags,
I have come to the conclusion that a FOOL & his $$$ soon part!

I have had good luck with S&W M&P9 ProMags, excellent luck. Just Like Factory Mags! Go Figure... but the HP bad luck in the 995 is undeniable.

20 round AR mag is pretty close to the mag bottom at the same level as the pistol grip. That is what we use for bench shooting, from sand bags.

I have a couple of the MagPul PMag 40s but they were like $14
ProMag makes a 42 round mag. Could be the best of the bunch,
being that it holds 42 rounds

    It really depends

Dunno about the last 3 years, but Promag made mags for the Mini-14 that ran flawlessly in my 181-series. It took a really close look to tell them from the Ruger factory mags (looks like the body halves were stamped in the same dies, but spot welds were different).

On the other hand, Promag's rep for AR mags is "spotty" at best. Mags aren't a good place to save money = they're the difference between a repeater and a hard-to-load single shot.
