Went to pick up a LCP Max. I’m going to get one of these! But not today. The one I handled the slide would not lock back on an empty magazine. A problem I hear that some of these have. I did not try a second magazine. The had 2 more in stock, said he had already sold 7. I passed.

The asking price matched the MSRP. I am sure he would of come off the price, but I will wait a bit for the price to naturally come down. My Elsie Pea Dos does me fine and if I really need 10 rounds, I have the .22,LR version. Besides there was a Stoeger coach gun on the wall that was already below MSRP and I did not have one of those.

Ya know, greg, if I ever DO make it to Georgia, my LOML is prolly gonna hate you. You'll just feed my addiction to where I need a truck to go home! I'd love to have a Cowboy coach gun meself. They're just cool and it would go so well with John Wayne style 94 and a .45 Blackhawk. Can ya loan me $40 for gas to get home?

Really like the new Stoeger Coach Gun in 20 gauge I just received. Good fit and finish. Very tight action on it.
Gonna be an excellent bedside gun. Especially with my #1 and #2 Buck loaded in it.

@OldOutlaw - that one is really nice. Personally, I'd like exposed hammers. Prices vary from place to place - mind telling me what they hit for on this one?

I did not want exposed hammers. Too much trouble to cock each one before I would need it for home defense.
Let alone the sound one does make when you cock each one. Many decades ago I had an exposed hammer and
also a double trigger one like this. Wish I still had that double trigger gun. I basically grew up with a double trigger
and still like them best. SOOO, I went with this one. Got it here for $459 Delivered. Last one they had and could find no others on the net for last 4-5 weeks. Here is where and the Specifications for it. This is the Supreme Grade they call it.
A bit more expensive than some of the other Stoegers. But it is the one I really wanted.

The one I got, 12 gauge blue and walnut was just under $400, just over $400 after the government extortion fees.

@OldOutlaw - I have a 12 ga O/U for defense - cheap Sears model. I'd want the 20 for...playing. For your needs, it's perfect. I prefer double triggers too - fail safe, kinda. Not a bad price on yours or greg's

A-Grade with double triggers. I once had the Uplander. Also had double triggers.

Been using the Escort Silver Supreme Shorty for a while now. It has selective single trigger. I like it, but double triggers and side x sides just go together.

The Escort has a full complement of choke tubes. Cyl, IC, Mod, Imp Mod, Full and Extra Full. The Stoeger is fixed cylinder bore and modified. Looking forward to pitting them against each other. I predict the winner will be ….. my H&R 176. The 176 is usually a 10 gauge, but mine is a 12. It’s my favorite shotgun.

Mine is the AA Grade Walnut and has choke tubes I can change. Just got in a spare Cylinder/OC in case I remove the IC choke that came in one barrel.

The AA grade adds a rubber recoil pad and choke tubes. Honestly I would of been satisfied with just cylinder bore barrels. I will likely only be using the Coach gun for rabbits and range fun. Unfortunately there are no more Bob White around here. 20 - 30 yards.

I have found the over under easier to shoot and hit with. Would have bought the Outback if I did not already have the Escort. Beside, I wanted the nostalgia and memory of the SxS. I used to hunt almost exclusively with an old Fox SxS, along with the Stoeger Uplander, both in 12 gauge, and a Rossi Squire SxS in 410. They were all lost in the great fire of ‘99.

The LGS just got in the Stoeger shotguns yesterday. (Friday) He used to always have some on the wall. I have not seen any in a while though. Said they had been on order for over a year. All he got was 12 gauge. I would of loved a 410. But I am happy. Loaded up 25 brass shot shells with Pyrodex and some reclaimed shot last night. Going to have some fun!
