Just a heads up, Kentucky Gun Company has Anderson logoless lowers for $35, and Durkin Tactical has complete 16" AR carbine kits for $200. That's sub HP carbine territory.
No we don't. A zamack AR doesn't make sense.Ladies and gentlemen, we all want the Hi-Point AR.
Non nitride barrels, no certainty on handguard accessory attachment type last time I looked. Who wants keymod? Not me.Durkin Tactical has complete 16" AR carbine kits for $200.
If you look at the ads, pictures and descriptions, it gets pretty obvious what the accessory attachment types are.Non nitride barrels, no certainty on handguard accessory attachment type last time I looked. Who wants keymod? Not me.
I like nitride. I also like parkerization and black oxide. Heck I like epoxy coatings like duracoat and ceracoat and I like moly type coatings such as Brownells Gun-Kote. I think the only one I didn't like was whatever that paint was that England applied to my Enfield No. 2 Mk1* pistol. That was some janky stuff, but what do you expect for rushed WWII production? If you look at the ads, pictures and descriptions, it gets pretty obvious what the accessory attachment types are.
And Nitride is one of many types of treatments. Some of us LIKE not having nitride barrels.
And to add to this, realistically speaking, you're not likely to start burning through barrels anytime soon and if you're worried about it for the longevity of hand-me-downs, buy spares.I like nitride. You're not getting married to it. You don't have to choose one and forsake all others.
Peace favor your sword,

Durkin, and another name are the same company. They used basically tell you it's the luck of the draw, or whatever they have on hand. Tough shit if you get something you don't want. Only thing I ever bought from them was some chrome lined Remington 13.5" barrels. Government contract leftovers. I built them into welded, and pinned. If you look at the ads, pictures and descriptions, it gets pretty obvious what the accessory attachment types are.

Sounds like crap. Thank god you can buy $200 kits from 25 other places and get the components you want.Durkin, and another name are the same company. Just 5Dangit! This is how I ended up with 5 of those things the last time they were this cheap. I bought 5 Anderson lowers at that price, figuring I'd stash a couple in case the talk of bans came about again(yes so I could profit). Didn't happen.
Then I put some thought into "spare parts" in case of wear and breakage. How would I store said spare parts and where then followed. I decided to store all my spare parts in the form of complete AR's since the kits were so cheap and the darn things are so easy to assemble.
Posts like this make me want to go look. But I'm into putting together 1911's these days. I. Must. Resist.
Welcome to my world. I bought 4 stripped uppers two weeks back…they’re still stripped, but the struggle has been real.🥵Dangit! Yes...deleting emails! Especially this time of the year. Same with me on the pistols. But that gets tough to organize after a while. I'm just looking forward to picking up my 4595 tomorrow. Have to keep it low so I can get a HTA bullpup....Just 5
Yeah I need a larger room... I think that's the main reason I have moved to Pistols the last 2 years... I have room for my Valmet whenever I find one affordable (relative term).
Some damn good deals out there though, I have been upgrading barrels etc recently, love the prices, but at the same time my spares bins (plural) are really overflowing... I have been deleting emails, well most...
The vertical ones are Etsy items, 3D printed units that slide into the magwell, and the mag catch locks in, so you have to push the mag release to take them down. Burton Bunker Designs. The one on the left of the horizontal rack is the newest, it holds two mags plus the gun, but doesn’t lock on the mag release.@ajole Your gun racks get the gears turning in my creative gun building section of my brain! NICE!
The rattle can winter camo! It and the bottom one are KE Arms poly lowers. BCA upper or barrel with no name cheap stuff on them. The winter gun has a Riton red dot, the FDE gun has a 2.5x ACSS holo scope.Well that too @ajole But actually I was liking what was "in" the gun racks
Especially top rack 3rd gun down the...camo pattern...I don't even know what it's called. But I do like. And the FDE one on the bottom.
