Anyone have any experience with these...... Specifically the larger variable powered models, such as 6-18, and larger?

If it'll make you feel better I can pretend to be an expert on something I didn't know existed. Thought "Barska" was a Japanese rifle.

    OK. Ya ready? Here goes.

They rock. And "the bigger the better" mom always said. Especially when Tyrone was around. I'd buy it with your money.

They are a decent low end/budget line. There's better, and there's worse...but not too much worse.;)

Like most of the under $100 scopes, they are all of Asian origin, done in the same few factories, with different names on them.

So you're saying he'd be better off taping a magnifying glass to his rifle?

Which ones are better?..... Seen a few good things about the master series Simmons.... But I'm trying to find a cheap decent glass for it.

No...but if you mounted it in rings....:p

Really...under $100, the name just makes no difference. You have 5 or 6 companies making glass and tubes for the 15-20 scope companies. Some models for Barska will be the exact same as a Tasco, while another Barska model might be made by a totally different company. You just have to look at the individual scope. As in, if they hand you a box, take the scope out and fiddle with it before you go pay. Check that everything is straight, moves right, is tight and clear.

Rumor is, Barska has a decent CS dept. So that's good.
