Ha ha ha. If bayonets on AR15s are not recommended due to bending barrels and breaking the plastic stocks and receiver pieces; what makes a plastic bodied Hi Point any better for aggressive bayonetting ?

In short... only as a novelty, and its usually just a rail mounted "bayonet" lug.

 

I think it would be really cool to put a bayonet on a HP carbine TS.

Hmm. Slap it on the barrel like a Mosin-Nagant.

That looks nice. Not the same one. It was a 995TS. It was actually well done. I have a Gras sword bayonet. It's almost as long as the 995

My thoughts:

Will there's tactical, tacticool, and tactitarded. This belongs in Column C.

 

I'll quote my drill sergeant during Basic Training, "Mouse (I was the Platoon mouse), you suck at bayonet drill. But after 91C school, you're going to be a REMF. My suggestion is to carry an extra mag so you don't run out of ammo until the cavalry arrives."

I have a few bayonets laying around the house--but never stick them on the end of a rifle. They make really good box openers when I forget my pocket knife. My weekday employer (research university hospital) won't let anybody carry a pocket knife--even the cub scout knife is enough to get you fired. A little less than 4 years until retirement.... --Armynurse

 

In orientation the guy told us 2 things.
1. you can have up to a 2.5" blade on your knife.
2. nobody has a tape measure

We were also told we couldn't carry a firearm in our cars. I told him it was state law that we could as long as it stays in the car. He repeated his statement with "well, I have my toys but I leave them at home." It was posted on the gate too. That disappeared.

 

I have a few bayonets. These, plus several Mosins and SKS's. And no, there's no rust there.

 

Good idea. I use a bayonet frequently on my other rifles for close in combat, deer, bear, etc.....
