Why did my firing pin bend? I went to the range today and fired off 60 rounds through my 995TS all without a single problems. When I got home to strip it down and clean that's when I noticed bent firing pin. However, it was not bent enough to restrict movement, just enough to look a little funky. Now, I don't know if this is good or bad but the pin was easy to straighten. Maybe a little too malleable? These were the first reloads run through it and they were made up from Winchester brass, Berry's plated bullets, Unique powder and CCI primers. I would consider them as light to moderate loads. I have stripped this rifle down 4 or 5 times and I have never noticed a bent pin. I'll probably call Hi-Point in the morning to see what they have to say. Anyone else have this happen?
